This is the only axle i was able to find that allows you to run a 12mm hub with a standard 10mm rear dropout setup. Plenty stiff, yet a bit heavy as it is a chromoly-steel part. I bought it because i got a great deal on a wheel set and needed something to make it compatible with my bike(not an accident). Could save your but if you don't get your axle sizing right and order a 135mm back wheel.
