Dan and Rachel Atherton recently won the DH world Championships on the Fox 40 to prove this is the fork you need for DH. for 2009 Fox has taken what they learned from countless test sessions and the world's hardest Downhill tracks and applied the knowledge to again improve upon the world class RC2 damper. With a full 8 inches of travel, seperate externally adjustable high and low speed compression damping circuits in Fox's patent pending closed RC2 Fit cartridge, Titanium spring, massive 40mm stanchions, and a truly remarkable sub 7 pound weight the Fox 40 is the light-heavyweight champion of the world. Low axel to crown height to keep the fro nt of your bike low, no other DH fork comes close to offering this level of performance, range of adjustability and combination of strength and low weight.
