Lynskey Houseblend ProCross 2010: Lynskey has completely redesigned their ProCross cyclocross frame. New on the 2010 model is their Helix downtube, an ovalized/oversized/flattened top tube to make it easier to carry and a new “plate style” chainstay on the driveside to maximize clearance during really sloppy races.

The ProCross is built with the rigors of cyclocross racing in mind. There are a few radical new features on the ProCross for this season. Starting with the race-tuned 3AL/2.5V titanium tubeset, a large diameter HELIX downtube has been addded for maximum stiffness and handling. The top tube is oversized, ovalized and flattened for easier shouldering. Top tube cable routing keeps mud out of the drivetrain. Modified S-bend seat and chainstays give optimum clearance for 700x35 tires as well as solid acceleration and braking power. Rear spacing available in 135 or 130.

The ProCross is not just a road frame simply modified for larger tires and cantilever brakes. It is specifically intended to provide exceptional handling and control over rough as well as slippery terrain. This is accomplished by distinctively tuning the frame to allow a proper balance of stiffness and compliance. The ProCross geometry is well balanced, giving the rider the utmost in confidence to push the limits of their ability. Let the procross inspire you to new heights of winter fitness.

Slight S-bends in the seat stays offer some compliance while improving mud clearance and allowing for some pretty wide tires.  Lynskey says this frame is not just a road frame with brake mounts…it’s designed ground up for the rigors of cyclocross.  On that note, Lynskey offers a lifetime guarantee on their frames for the original owner, and all custom orders are guaranteed to perform as intended.
