I was very disappointed with this item when I first received it because there was no way to fit the head of the inflator over a Presta valve. What I did to "fix" it was to loosen the plug on the Presta valve side, which "unsquishes" the rubber gasket, which allows insertion of the Presta valve. Now it works great.
This is a substantially-built item. I have car-tire inflators that don't weigh anywhere near as much. I hope this means it will withstand years of use.
It would be nice if the price was lower. The only other serious competitor I saw was $70, and it's been discontinued. I could have purchased one NOS, but decided to go with this unit so I wouldn't be buying an orphan.
