1 of 5 Terrible Attachment Straps October 26, 2019
Reviewer: Jerry from Saint Louis, MO United States
I also plan to contact Blackburn directly about this bag, but thought I would leave this review where I made the purchase. Conceptually Blackburn had a good idea. They put a rubberized coating on the inside of the attachment straps to protect the finish. However, the plastic fitting that the attachment strap slides through in not large enough to accommodate the thicker straps. Almost impossible to put these straps together sitting at my kitchen table. Attaching them with the bag on the bike is out of the question. I like the bag so much that I used some thin (1/8") bungie. To tie the bag to my top tube. This works for me. Possibly because this top tube of flat on top we'll see how well it works on my other bikes that have round top tubes. Also, if these straps were usable, the probably would have been to short to fit my top tube. I probably should have returned this item. Again, good concept, poor execution.
