American Classic Crash Replacement Program
American Classic offers a crash replacement program (“the program”)
on our new wheel products purchased from an authorized dealer or distributor
for 2 years from date of purchase by the first owner, under the conditions
defined below. This program is available for new products purchased in the USA for USA resident consumers only. The
crash replacement program must be purchased from and registered with American Classic with the corresponding products
within 10 (ten) days of the product purchase. In order to request a rebuild under
this program, the consumer must keep the proof of purchase of the product and
of the crash replacement program, including the date and the name of the
authorized dealer, and must comply with procedures.
OBLIGATIONS
In the event of a crash or other impact related rim damage, American Classic has the sole obligation to repair
or replace, at its option, the defective part or product. The program covers
one repair or replacement per wheel for the pair of wheels covered in the
program.
LIMITATIONS
- This
program does not cover normal wear and tear, damage resulting from
shipment, storage, failure to follow the user's guide and/or
recommendations for use, improper assembly or assembly with incompatible
products, poor maintenance, intentional destruction or damage, misuse,
modification or alteration of the product.
- This
program only covers new products with the 2009 and ongoing product look.
It does not apply to new products purchase with the 2008 or other earlier
product look.
- The
program does not apply to products bought in sales channels other than
retailers authorized by American Classic.
The program does not apply to wheels bought from online auction sites such
as EBay. This program does not apply if the new product was purchased from
a retailer outside the USA.
- The
program is not transferable and only applies to the initial purchaser.
- This
program does not cover parts that are subject to wear in normal use, such
as the braking surfaces of wheel rims, hubs, brake pads, spokes, bearings,
pawls, rear derailleur jockey wheels, batteries, magnets etc.
- This
program does not cover products repaired or serviced by anyone other than
American Classic.
- This
program does not cover products whose serial numbers, logos or
identification have been removed, damaged or modified.
- This
program does not apply to Carbon TT Disc wheels.
- This
program does not apply to sponsored team and/or sponsored athlete wheels.
- The program does not cover damage occurring during shipment
of the products and such claims must be presented directly to the shipping
carrier.
- American Classic does not return damaged rims or other
damaged products sent to us for warranty evaluation and claims.
- All color and spec may not be available at the time of the
rebuild request is made by the authorized dealer or consumer. American
Classic reserves the right to substitute product in the event that an
exact replacement is not available.
- This program does not
exclude warranty rights specific to each country. Consumers may have other
rights depending on their place of residence. Local taxes, customs duties
or freight charges may be applied. In the United States, additional
rights that differ from one state to another may also be applied.
- Should
part of this program be found to be inapplicable by virtue of
administrative or legal proceedings, the other parts remain applicable.
- This
program is only available in the USA
for USA resident
consumers on products purchased in the USA.
CLAIMS
PROCEDURE
The authorized retailer or consumer must obtain an RA number from American Classic prior to returning a product under this
program by emailing or faxing American Classic.
The entire product, accompanied by proof of the date of purchase and the proof
of registration in the program shall be sent by the authorized retailer or
consumer to American Classic 5420 Airport Blvd. Tampa, FL 33634. The consumer shall be required
to pay shipping costs and shipping insurance for the shipment to American Classic.
American Classic
strongly suggests using a carton box designed especially for wheels with
adequate protective padding to reduce the risk of damage while shipping. Please
insure your wheel package at the time of shipping to American Classic. All
personal items, including but not limited to cassettes, tires, tubes, rim tape,
computer magnet, quick release skewers, must be removed from your wheel(s)
before sending them in for service. American Classic is not responsible for any
personal items sent in with wheels.
Claims made by other means or without obtaining an RA # cannot be taken into
consideration. The new or repaired product shall be returned to the authorized
retailer or consumer by ground shipping to addresses in the USA only.
